End-of-Life and Palliative Care
This course provides a structured introduction to palliative and end-of-life care for staff working in adult health and social care in England. It explains the principles of person-centred palliative care, recognising deterioration and possible dying, communication, advance care planning, symptom observation, comfort care, medicines support, hydration and nutrition, dignity, cultural and spiritual needs, care after death, bereavement support and the legal and regulatory responsibilities that apply to care providers.
