Lone Working and Personal Safety

This theory-based course provides practical lone-working and personal-safety awareness for carers, senior carers, nurses and other adult health and social care staff in England. It explains the additional risks that can arise when staff work without close or direct supervision, including home visits, travel, isolated areas of a care service, night work and community support. It covers employer and worker responsibilities, risk assessment, communication and monitoring, violence and aggression, environmental hazards, emergencies, incident reporting, wellbeing and safe decision-making.
