This theory-based course provides practical Parkinson’s disease awareness for carers, senior carers, nurses and other adult health and social care staff in England. It explains the condition, common motor and non-motor symptoms, time-critical medicines, risks such as falls and swallowing difficulty, and the person-centred support that can help people maintain safety, independence, dignity and quality of life.
