Stoma Care Awareness
This theory-based course provides practical stoma care awareness for carers, senior carers, nurses and other adult health and social care staff in England. It explains colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy, person-centred support, pouch systems, skin care, output changes, hydration, nutrition, infection prevention, common complications, escalation, documentation and role boundaries. It is suitable for care homes, domiciliary care, supported living and other CQC-regulated adult social care services.
