Stroke Awareness
This theory-based course provides practical stroke awareness for carers, senior carers, nurses and other adult health and social care staff in England. It explains what stroke and transient ischaemic attack (TIA) are, how to recognise sudden signs, how to respond safely, and how to support a person after stroke with mobility, communication, swallowing, nutrition, cognition, emotional wellbeing and rehabilitation needs. It also links safe practice to current NICE, NHS and CQC expectations.
